1. Our Commitment
Hager-Alperowitz & Co. CPA firm considers accessibility of its Website and services to the entire public — including people with disabilities — to be of utmost importance. We act in accordance with:
- The Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998
- The Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013
- Israeli Standard IS 5568 — Guidelines for Web Content Accessibility
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — international web accessibility standard
2. Level of Accessibility on the Website
This Website is adapted to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The adjustments implemented include:
2.1 Structural and Technical Adjustments
- Proper semantic structure using HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, section, footer, article).
- Correct heading hierarchy (h1–h6).
- ARIA labels and screen-reader readability.
- Full support for RTL (Hebrew) and LTR (English).
- Form fields with clear, screen-reader-readable labels.
- Buttons and links with meaningful alternative text.
2.2 Visual Adjustments
- Alternative text (alt) for all images.
- High color contrast meeting WCAG AA requirements (ratio of at least 4.5:1).
- Readable typeface (Heebo) with multiple weights for distinction.
- High-contrast mode (black/white/yellow) for users with visual impairments.
- Text resizing up to 160% without breaking readability.
2.3 Navigation and Operation
- Full keyboard navigation (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Esc).
- Clear focus indicators on every interactive element.
- "Skip to main content" link at the start of every page.
- Mobile menu accessible by keyboard.
2.4 Accessibility Widget
On every page an Accessibility button is available (bottom-left corner on wide screens) that allows:
- Text resizing (+30% / +60%)
- High-contrast mode
- Link underline highlighting
- Stopping animations (for motion-sensitive users)
- Resetting all settings
Settings are automatically retained between visits.
3. Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility
The Website was designed to be compatible with:
- Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — current versions.
- Operating systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.
- Screen readers: built to support NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack (a comprehensive test across all readers has not been performed).
- Keyboard-only (no mouse).
- Zoom magnification up to 200%.
4. Physical Accessibility — Firm Branches
Our branches operate various accessibility adaptations depending on the building infrastructure. These typically include:
- Wheelchair access from the building entrance (subject to building infrastructure).
- Elevator to the floor in most buildings.
- Accessible restrooms in most branches.
- Disabled parking near the office.
- Accessible signage.

5. Adjustments for the Hearing-Impaired

6. Reservations and Parts Not Fully Accessible
Despite our efforts, some parts of the Website may not be fully accessible:
- PDF forms — sourced from the Israel Tax Authority and the National Insurance Institute, and may not fully meet accessibility requirements. In such cases, please contact us for assistance in filling out the form.
- Embedded video and podcast content — hosted on external services (YouTube, Buzzsprout). We are working on adding captions.
- Client logo images — some appear in grayscale, with full color shown on hover.
We continue to work on improving accessibility on an ongoing basis.
